Cedar shingles please planners

To meet strict planning rules, architects Lee Evans Partnership used western red cedar fire retardant shingles from John Brash & Co on the roof of a new £2m primary school in a conservation area at Lamberhurst, Kent. Matt Hayes, a partner at the practice, said the shingles provided a perfect visual contrast to the clay peg tiles which are predominant in the village. Related articles: |
