Simpson Strong-Tie relocates in Scotland
Autumn 2006
Published: 22 October, 2006
Simpson Strong-Tie's new Scottish base will help improve product distribution Simpson Strong-Tie (SST) has relocated its Scottish base to keep pace with growing demand for its products. The timber connector manufacturer has moved from premises in Stepps near Glasgow to a new warehouse facility at Broxton, West Lothian, enabling it to develop its supply to the Scottish and Irish markets, where demand is rising rapidly. SST, which declined to reveal how much it had invested in the relocation, reports 400% growth since starting its Scottish business five years ago. It said the new facility has excellent transport links, allowing easy access for product distribution throughout Scotland and beyond. “We believe that this continued investment will enable Simpson Strong-Tie to further increase its support and service levels to the Scottish market,” said managing director Malcolm Paulson. “Our expanding product range will also benefit customers.” Related articles: |
