Timber Frame technical Director (Designate)
£50 – 60k + Bonus & benefits

This timber Frame company have been in operation for under 2 years and have experienced rapid growth in Sales and turnover in this period. They have received a “Best new Business” Award for manufacturing and the production side is proven to be far more productive than many timber Frame companies due to innovative production techniques. They have ambitious and achievable targets for future growth and are looking to appoint a Technical Director (designate) to help them achieve their goals. The Managing Director does not want to be restricted by set parameters for the ideal candidate for this role and employs staff because of their attitude, personality and skills which they can bring to the company. It is vital that you have a “Can Do” attitude and are a solution orientated lateral thinker. You will be responsible for coming up with innovative ideas for making the business more effective. You may be from a projects/ contracts manager, Timber Frame engineer, Design manager or Technical manager’s background. You must have an understating of current bespoke Timber Frame design software (but do not have to be a designer), detailed knowledge of current building legislation, Timber Frame technical standards & legislation, and current HSE standards & CDM. You must also have an understanding of SAP & BREEAM. This is not just a Technical Director’s role, but a much more challenging exciting one - more like a design/contracts/project manager rolled into one. You will be the main point of contact between the design, manufacture and construction areas of the business. Therefore, excellent interpersonal skills, work ethic and motivation are vital skills for this role. The Managing Director needs to be able to feel confident to delegate a wide variety of responsibilities to you and know it will be done, while he goes out and wins more work for the company. You may currently be working for a big Corporation or a small Timber Frame company and want to grow your own business. Upon being officially appointed Director, there are shares available for the right candidate. This is a very exciting opportunity to be in the driving seat of a young, rapidly expanding company.
