Drumnadrochit, a picturesque village on the banks of Loch Ness, is the site for InnovaHouse’s latest residential building project.
The building warrant has just been granted for a 1.5 storey traditional style house with 150 sqm of living space plus integrated garage. The building will feature white render and a dark grey tiled roof to fit in with the local area, and will incorporate nearly maintenance free materials.
With the environment in mind, the house will be CO2 free with a heat pump and an electrical ventilation system with heat recovery.
InnovaHouse, one of the longest established and experienced UK companies to offer off-site manufactured houses, has already built a number of houses and commercial buildings across the UK.
Work will commence on the Loch Ness project in early February with completion expected by early May. Once the house has been manufactured in Germany, it will be shipped to the UK along with a team of German professionals who will erect the house on site and make water it tight in just five days.
Ulrich Ruhmann, director of InnovaHouse, said: “German off-site manufactured houses are made to a high technical specification, are energy efficient and manufactured with the highest levels of engineering making them extremely long-lasting. Owners will not only save money on the running costs of their new home but can also enjoy living in a home which is environmentally friendly, low maintenance and where every detail is tailor-made to their requirements.”
