OSM joins forces with Streif for sustainable building
Published:  11 February, 2008

The new joint venture has a number of new projects in the pipeline

A new Anglo-German partnership between OSM Homes and Streif is confident of combining both firms' expertise, with 100 units expected to be built in 2008 alone

Brighton-based OSM HOMES and German MMC company STREIF GmbH have strengthened their existing partnership by establishing STREIF|OSM Sustainable Building Systems.
“As a 50/50 joint venture we want to not only increase our technical knowhow but also provide further security to our clients when it comes to contracting," said managing director Hans Kohl.

"This formation will create valuable synergy effects by combining OSM HOMES’ experience and knowledge of the UK construction market and STREIF’s expertise of more than 75,000 homes and 77 years in producing sustainable building systems.”
To support the new setup STREIF|OSM has appointed Andrew Flux as director for the technical & construction side. Mr Flux, who has worked for various construction firms such as Integra (Brighton) in the last 12 years and Werner Peintinger as director of business development, will make sure that there will be a much closer link to the production facilities in Germany.
Along with the recent changes, David Craddock has resigned as director & shareholder of OSM HOMES.
“With new and exciting projects in Hastings, Brighton, Lewes, Kent and in North Staffordshire in the pipeline, we very much look forward to the new challenges,” said Mr Flux “and we are looking to build around 100 units in 2008."
