ThermoWood offers contrasting finish
Published:  29 April, 2008

The technology centre is clad in ThermoWood

ThermoWood cladding has provided an environmentally-friendly finish to a multi-million pound technology centre in Loughborough

ThermoWood cladding has been used to finish Loughborough College's new £5m technology centre and create a contrast between the traditional and cutting-edge.
Supplied by John Brash and Co Ltd, the cladding was used on the external vertical walls of the development. It was specified in order to match the existing surroundings and provide an environmentally friendly build solution.
Bob Brookes, deputy principal at the college, said that the use of ThermoWood has provided juxtaposition between traditional timber and the state-of-the-art technology installed in the building.
"The new cladding fits in perfectly with the landscaped externals and it creates an ideal contrast to the state-of-the-art equipment that we use to teach the students," said Mr Brookes.
