Kingspan TEK for Aus-Haus affordable homes
Published: 09 September, 2008
Chosen for its thermal and airtight properties and specification repeatability, Kingspan TEK is being used in a range of modular sustainable homes Kingspan Off-Site’s TEK Building System will form the structural basis for a range of modular house types, created by Austins specifically to reach levels 3 to 6 of the Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH). The Kingspan TEK Building System has been incorporated into the Aus-Haus models, which use modern methods of construction (MMC) to create affordable homes, under a four year Partnering Agreement. Removing the expense of designing individual bespoke houses, the Aus-Haus range is designed to reduce the costs and the design lead-in time of a project, releasing capital for renewable technologies and enabling developers to reach higher Code levels. "As a proven off-site solution, the Kingspan TEK Building System combines speed of build with high levels of thermal efficiency, making it ideal to reach the levels of the Code required by the Aus-Haus designs.” Related articles: |
