Historic school receives Royale treatment
Published: 23 August, 2011
Royale timber cladding is now on show in a project at historic Wellington College in Crowthorne. The A Proctor Group has supplied around 650m2 of the cladding for a new sports pavilion at the boarding school, which was opened by Queen Victoria in 1859. The cladding, in Natural colour with a T&G profile, was specified after the school’s bursar requested a durable material which would retain its appearance and require minimal care. Royale timber cladding comes in a range of natural colours with a standard 30-year warranty against rot and wood decay. The Osmose treatment applied to the timber gives the softwood the properties of hardwood, increasing water resistance and stability. Related articles: |
