Wiehag reduces delay on “largest” glulam project
Published: 02 February, 2012
Austrian specialist glulam supplier Wiehag is pulling out all the stops to reduce delays on the UK’s largest glulam project. Wiehag had to manufacture several 70m-long curved beams to replace originals which had been damaged on their voyage to Northern Ireland for use in the £40m Bangor swimming pool project (T&SB online January 19). Johannes Rebhahn, Wiehag head of international timber projects, told T&SB all replacement beams were now on site and were being erected. Wiehag had cancelled its Christmas break to make replacement beams. The project involves 1,500m3 of PEFC-certified spruce glulam. Related articles: |
