The Manor Guildhouse site, formerly home to a hostel for single men, is to be turned into 57 properties, with house builder Lovell constructing the homes and timber frame manufacturer Prestoplan providing the wooden frames that will underpin the entire project.

Certified timber imported from Scandinavia will be used by Prestoplan on the job, with Cirencester-based Crown Timber acting as part of the supply chain bringing the wood to the UK.

“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Lovell on this development,” said John Halton, assistant director of development with Whitefriars Housing Group, the organisation funding the project in conjunction with Coventry City Council.
