With over 50 attendees, it's hoped a seminar to encourage UKTFA members to get involved in promoting timber frame construction will further boost the sector's prospects

The UK Timber Frame Association (UKTFA) has staged a sales and marketing seminar for its members to help develop a "stronger community of  interest" in the promotion of timber frame construction.
The event, held in Luton on April 3, saw 50 representatives from UKTFA members in attendance, including managing directors, sales staff and marketing team members.
Designed as a networking event, sales, branding, advertising, web design and photography specialists were also on hand to field questions and concerns and "boost member company sales and marketing success".
"The aim of the event was to create a stronger community of interest by involving the members more in the promotion of the timber frame industry," the association said.
UKTFA also used the event to outline its own PR and marketing campaigns for 2008, which include continuing to address architects key concerns on sustainability and health and safety, as well as its own special projects - fire safety on comstruction, structural stability, differential movement and zero carbon.
